More money is spent on fast food than higher education, computers and tablets, software, and new cars combined. That is a shocking statistic. Tons of unhealthy fats are found in fast foods. A study done in 2006 showed that McDonald’s fires had one third higher trans fats than originally thought.

Now just add a side of mashed potatoes and gravy and you will eat 660 calories and 40 grams of fat in one serving. And how many people will just have one piece of chicken.
Fast Food – Taco Bell
If you ordered the grilled stuffed beef taco at Taco bell, I’m sure you thought you were thinking outside the bun. You would have thought yourself into eating 680 calories and 30 grams of fat. If you get chicken instead of beef you only lose 40 calories. You would eat 640 calories and 23 grams of fat.
Fast Food – McDonald’s
McDonald’s signature Big Mac will cost you 540 calories and 29 grams of fat. Order a medium sized french fries and you add 380 calories and 19 grams of fat. Even if you didn’t get a cola or milkshake, you would have still eaten 920 calories and 48 grams of fat.

You want to have it your way? Well if you order the BK Whopper you would have ordered 670 calories and 39 grams of fat. With cheese, well you’re talking about a total of 47 grams of fat. Lets add medium fries to that order and you have no added 20 more grams of fat. Want to wash it all down with a refreshing coke? Your total intake for that meal would be 1330 calories and 67 grams of fat.

The Wendy’s Baconator weighs in at a whopping 830 calories and over 50 grams of fat. if you add a medium fries and chocolate frosty with that order, you have a total artery stopping 1,670 calories and over 80 grams of fat. All this in just ONE meal.
Fast food is fast for a reason. The process of making it fast compromises your health in the process. Now that you see the dangers of fast food, try to avoid it at all costs. You might have to prepare earlier but your body will thank you.
We all have to pay for health care whether we can afford it or not. The question is will you pay on the front end or back end. The front end is buying the right foods to help prevent sickness.
