Ingredients For Vegan Sloppy Joes
2 cups of textured soy protein or TVP
1/2 cup of organic ketchup. If you don’t have organic ketchup, you can use regular ketchup. You can also make your own ketchup using tomato sauce, tomato paste, and spices.
1 and 3/4 cup of boiling water
1/2 cup of your favorite organic barbecue sauce. You can use regular barbecue sauce as well.
1 tablespoon of packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons of cider vinegar
1 teaspoon of chili powder
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
1/2 cup of chopped carrots
1/2 cup of chopped onion. Use your favorite kind of onion.
3/4 cup of room temperature water
4 to 6 Whole Wheat or Whole Grain hamburger buns.
Okay now we have all the ingredients for our vegan sloppy joes, now lets put everything together in three easy steps.
Step 1 – This first step is really simple. Just combine the textured soy protein and the boiling water in a large bowl, then let it stand for 10 minutes.
Step 2 – Now, for the sauce, combine the ketchup, barbecue sauce, vinegar, chili powder, brown sugar, and soy sauce in a medium bowl and mix it well.
Step 3 – Now for the final step in making your vegan sloppy joes. Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium to high heat. Next, add the carrots and onions and cook and stir for about 5 minutes or until the vegetables are nice and tender. Stir the mixture into the sauce mixture and bring to a boil. Then, stir in the textured soy protein and the 3/4 cup of room temperature water. Decrease the heat to low and cover the pan and let it cook for about 20 minutes. Once done, serve the vegan sloppy joes on the wheat or whole grain buns.
This recipe for vegan sloppy joes should make about 4-6 burgers. A great summer dish for lunch or a nice family dinner with a fresh green salad. You can’t go wrong with this recipe for vegan sloppy joes. Enjoy!! Don’t just eat, Eat Well.

My programmer is trying to convince me to
move to .net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because
of the costs. But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using Movable-type on several websites for about a year and am concerned about switching to another platform.
I have heard fantastic things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can transfer all my wordpress posts into it?
Any kind of help would be really appreciated!
